A sunroom addition to this Tudor home makes a significant improvement to its relationship with nature.
The house sits on a cul-de-sac with a beautiful and expansive back yard. The owner loved her house, but was wanting a brighter living space that broke from the dark woodwork and small windows of the Tudor style. She also wanted the addition to maintain a palette of materials similar to the existing house from the exterior. The final design maintains the dark trim and stucco of the original house on the exterior, and introduces stone details on the back of the house to match the front. On the inside, a vaulted space with glazing on three sides and painted woodwork provides a bright and colorful living space for friends and family.
